In my previous post, I shared a review on the Princess Sport Sipper from Nuby.  But, I didn't want to leave the boys out of the mix, so I am following up with a review of another drinking cup from Nuby...their BPA Free, No Spill Cup.

"This No-Spill Cup features a new soft silicone straw, which is gentle to your child's tender gums and emerging teeth.  The soft silicone straw is covered by and easy-to-use flip top cap.  this uniquely designed feature protects the straw from contamination when not in use.  Great for travel and short trip!  The flip cap keeps the straw sanitary and clean.  When ready to use the cup, simply flip the cap and sip from the No-Spill straw. Liquid passes through the straw only when your child sips.  The leak resistant cup dispenses a variety of liquids, ranging in consistency from fruit juices to milk and water."

As part of the Nuby Mommy Blogger program, I was sent one of these BPA Free No-Spill cups for my girls to try out.  While both tried out the cup, I ended up giving the cup to Savannah, as I have been looking for a cup to replace the bottle she still takes at bedtime with her milk in it.  While she is still adjusting from drinking milk from this new cup, she does love the bright color and shape of the bottle for easy gripping.  And, as a mom, I love how this cup doesn't leak, even if knocked off the table or tipped over on the floor, like so many other drinking cups we have owned and tried.  I also love how liquid only passes through the straw when your child sips.  I can't tell you how many times I have stumbled upon sippy cups and other drinking cups that the girls have left on the table, dribbling liquid out of the straw top, all over the table.

And, like the Princess Sport Sipper, this drinking cup with the durable silicone straw is great for teething children like my Arabella, who like to chew on their drink straws, to sooth their sore gums.  Seeing how much Savannah likes this cup, and how I can use this cup to serve a variety of liquids including milk, I will be buying a few more soon.  My hope is to be able to toss all the baby bottles that we own and use to serve up milk to the girls (as the other drinking cups don't work well with milk), which are a pain to clean and sterilize, and finally move onto only having "big girl" drinking cups with straws in the house.

Is your child still using a bottle for milk or other liquid, while also using a sippy cup or drinking cup with a straw?  Why not pick up one of the BPA Free No-Spill cups from Nuby to see if you, too, can get your child accustomed to using only a straw cup.  It really will make a world of difference, and help protect their teeth.
