Customized and Personalized Peel and Stick Headboards from Mona MELisa Designs -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure: I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

Back on June 3rd, I introduced you to Lisa Smith and Melissa Crescitelli of Mona MELisa Designs.  I had planned to share my review of their Pony Peel and Stick headboard with you sooner, as well as include a giveaway, but due to the girls and I being sick, and having spent most of the day at the doctors, I wasn't able to get the review/giveaway post up until now.

If you missed my Spotlight on Mom post with Lisa and Melissa, click here to read it now --- http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2013/06/spotlight-on-mom-lisa-smith-and-melissa.html.  I shared back in the Spotlight Mom post how we ended moving Savannah out of her shared bedroom with Arabella, as she was getting woken up throughout the night by Bella who has been teething, sick, or gets in a pattern where she needs milk or her binkie throughout the night or she fusses and cries.  We used moving Savannah into her own room as a way to show her how she is growing up.  While I always thought the girls would share the same room for awhile, I can see how much Savannah is benefiting from getting 8+ hours of uninterrupted sleep, and most of all, having a room she can call her own.

Savannah helped us decorate her room, by choosing new bedding, curtains, wall stickers and even which toys would be kept in the room, to keep her entertained in the AM's.  While I thought she would want to go with a Toy Story theme, as she has been a fan of Woody, Buzz and Jessie since she was a year old, she is now moving onto My Little Pony as her favorite show to watch, and collect toys from.  When I first visited Lisa and Melissa's website, Mona MELisa Designs, I saw the Pony Peel and Stick headboard, and knew that this was what we needed to try Savannah's pony themed room together.  As we waited on her My Little Pony bedding, Savannah couldn't wait for us to peel and stick this headboard wall art to her bedroom room.

I have to say that I was expecting a lot of work to position and stick this peel and stick headboard in place.  Other wall art stickers we have applied to the girls' bedroom and playroom were a pain, as they were hard to peel off from the paper, or would curl up before we were able to position and stick them to the walls.  Also, others having been up for a few days, would begin to peel away from the wall, either due to poor craftsmanship.  But, as soon as my husband and I began peeling the pony headboard away from the paper and positioning it on the wall behind Savannah's bed, we couldn't believe how easy it was to put up.  I ended up using the side of a credit card to smooth out the wall sticker on the wall, making sure to get out any air bubbles and that it was stuck to the wall securely.

We had Savannah stay outside her bedroom while we put the pony peel and stick headboard from Mona MELisa up.  But, once we told her it was ready to see, she ran down the hall, and said, "Ohhh, so pretty," as she ran and jumped on her new big girl bed, to take a closer look at the ponies in their magical world.  Even Arabella fell in love with this headboard, which can also be used as a nice backdrop to a toddler bed or crib.  We will definitely have to look into one for her for her bedroom. :-)  But, in the meantime, Savannah is feeling like a big girl, as she enjoys sleeping in her new room.  And, when asked what she likes best about her new room, she always replies, "My pony sticker." :-)

What I love most about this pony headboard, and other headboards from Mona MELisa is that they can be ordered in different colors to match current room décor.  The characters on the artwork can also be personalized with hair color, skin color and eye color to match the child for whom it is being purchased. Very cool!

Mona MELisa Designs also has interactive PEEL & PLAY wall play sets that can be used over and over again and will not rip or tear because they are all FABRIC construction.
