Refresh Your Home with a Pleasant, Long Lasting Fragrance of Febreze™ w/ Their New Carpet Deodorizing Powder -- Review and #Giveaway

Febreze

With two toddlers and a dog, we see a lot of traffic on our carpets.  When I am not doing laundry each day, I find myself pulling out the vacuum to pick up cookie crumbs and other messes the girls leave behind. And, now that they have warmed up to the dog, they love playing outdoors with Lily.  When they come inside, they track in mud and dirt, which I need to vacuum up quickly, or I forget to do it, and have to deal with spot cleaning at the end of the day to get the carpets cleaned.

Because I don't have the luxury or time to deep clean the carpets with a carpet cleaner each week, I rely on carpet powders to help clean and leave the carpets smelling fresh.  Our house has always been a BISSELL house, and I love the cleaning suction you get with their vacuums, getting a deep clean each time.  So, when I heard that Febreze had come out with a new line of carpet cleaning powder, which is endorsed by BISSELL, I had to give it a try.  As with BISSELL, I also love Febreze products.  If you walk in my house right now, you would find Febreze air freshners in the bathrooms, fabric fresheners in the laundry, candles in the kitchen, and my favorite, Febreze NOTICEable plugins in the hallways.  I love being able to switch up the fragrances, and try to pair them with the seasons.  The fall and winter are my favorites, as the house smells of fresh apple pie and pine.

The kind folks at Febreze recently sent me one of each of their new varieties shown below to try out:

Before vacuuming, use Febreze™ Carpet Deodorizing Powders. They clean up to three times better than vacuuming alone, soften the carpet and leave the room with a light, fresh scent.

  • Refreshes your home with a pleasant, long lasting fragrance
  • Eliminates tough odors such as smoke, garlic, mold and mildew
  • Removes more dirt & odors than vacuuming alone.
  • Leaves behind softer, fresher carpets
  • Also for use on upholstery, automobile interiors and drapes or use on automobile interiors

After trying out each, I have to say that my favorite was the Hawaiian Aloha scent, which smelled like a nice tropical scent of fragrant hibiscus blooms.   I was first introduced to this popular scent when I picked up Febreze Air Effects Hawaiian Aloha last year looking for a fun scent for summer. Since then, I have been hooked and keep this scent on hand.  I don't know about you, but my mood is improved when I walk into a fresh smelling room.  And, these powders are so easy to use -- simply sprinkle on your carpets, let sit for a few minutes, then vacuum up.  In under 10 minutes, you can have your carpets looking and smelling clean.  As a busy mom on the go, I love this, as I always seem to have unexpected guests call and want to stop by and see the girls.  Instead of running around like crazy trying to spot clean the house, I can clean the carpets with this carpet powder, and be ready for guests, as I sit with the girls and enjoy the fresh scents released into the air. :-)
