Barbara's Introduces New Snackimals Cereals, the First Kid-Friendly Cereal in the Natural Foods Aisle with Fun Animal Shapes (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

My girls have only started to eat cold cereal in the AM, and are picky to say the least when it comes to the cereals they will eat.  While they would prefer I serve them cereals with marshmallows or other sugary ingredients, I prefer to opt for the healthier cereals, that both they and my and I can enjoy eating together.  Around the time that Savannah began eating solids foods a year ago, I stumbled across Barbara's popular Snackimals cookies, and picked up for Savannah to try.  Not only did these act as great teething cookies, but she preferred these tasty cookies over other non-healthy snacks available for toddlers and young children.  While I continue to buy the Snackimals cookies for my girls, I also now pick up the new Barbara's Snackimals cereal.

I only recently found out about the launch of Barbara's Snackimals cereal, in a press release.  This new kid-friendly cereal features zoo animal shapes, and is available in either Vanilla Blast or Cinnamon Crunch flavors.  This new cereal is the first cereal available in the natural food aisles of most major retail grocery stores and Whole Foods locations, in a 9-ounce box.

"Snackimals Cereal is the perfect balance of delicious taste and good nutrition. Moms and Dads are excited about Snackimals Cereal because it is:

My family was recently able to try out this new cereal, after the kind folks at Barbara's sent along a box of each for us to sample.  Out of the two flavors, I have to say that the girls preferred the Vanilla Blast flavor, while my husband and I liked the Cinnamon Crunch.  My girls are not really big fans of cinnamon, so I wasn't expecting them to like this one.  While I don't pour milk in the girls cereal bowl yet, as they would spill it, I do offer up a sippy cup filled with cold milk.  The girls love to pick out their favorite zoo animals like the lion, elephant and bear, show it to one another and me, and then pop it in their mouths and crunch away.  Then, they follow up with a quick sip of their cold milk to wash it done, and say, "Mmm, so good," before reaching for more animals shaped Snackimals Cereal.  I am so happy to be able to offer up a healthy alternative to their daily oatmeal or egg white and Canadian bacon breakfast options, thanks to this new cereal.

I know that fans of Barbara's and their Snackimals cookies, will love the new Snackimals Cereal just as much as my family does.  And, knowing that this cereal contains no hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup or refined white sugar, makes me feel better about this cereal choice, when I offer it to my girls in AM, and eat it myself. Are you looking to introduce your child to more healthy breakfast cereals?  If so, you will definitely want to check out Barbara's Snackimals Cereal.  Once you try this new cereal, you will be adding another Barbara's product to your favorites list. :-)
