App Review: ICE BlackBox App -- It's Not Just an App, It's a Movement!

Disclosure: I was given a promo code to download this app for review by the vendor to try out, in addition to being compensated for my time in sharing more about this app.  However, the views I share are mine and mine alone.

With a launch date for today, the ICE BlackBox app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad, will revolutionize the way that both children and adults can ward off attacks and bullying.  If you read the newspaper or tune into the news each night, it is hard not to miss the starling rise in bullying and abuse around the world.  Just last week, I read online about 3 different teen girls who had recently taken their own lives because of bullying.  It is so sad to hear these stories, as I have two young girls of my own, and can only imagine what they will deal with when they head off to school.

So, makes the ICE BlackBox a must for everyone mobile device?  Simple -- "the ICE BlackBox sends your audio, video, and GPS information to their secure server where it becomes a permanent record of bullying and attacks. Videos cannot be deleted from the device, preventing an attacker from forcing you to delete an incident against your will. Use the app to prevent an attack from escalating by holding up your iPhone and stating “I have you on ICE!”"

Here are just some of the features of this soon to be released app --

•"One-button streaming of audio, video, and GPS – Our simplified camera interface is designed to be easy to use in stressful situations. Press record, and your video and GPS location are automatically uploaded to our server.

•In-app 911 dialing, with auto-notification to your emergency contacts – If you need to contact 911, this app does more than just dial, it sends your video and location to your emergency contacts by text or email, automatically.

•Review and Share Videos – If the recording is not a 911 emergency but you still wish to send it to someone like law enforcement or school officials, you can easily send the links by text or email.

•Videos cannot be deleted within the app – This is to protect you from being forced to delete the video during an incident. Remember, this is like having a silent witness that won’t back out."

With so many young children receiving phones from their parents, in order to stay in touch, why not as parents make a point to add this easy to use app to their mobile device before giving it to them.  Then, make sure you show them how to use, so they are prepared if and when the time comes.  I hope they will never have to use the app, but if they do, they will know how to use it.  And, as a parent, you will have piece of mind knowing that if an issue of bullying, domestic abuse, rape, hate crime, harassment, etc. arise, they can quickly and easily document their location and have audio and video logged permanently, to help with investigations, persecutions, etc.

We cannot shield our children from all the cruelties in life, but just knowing that their is an app like the ICE BlackBox, we can all work together towards a safer tomorrow.  Click here to learn more about the ICE BlackBox app, and make sure you download it to all your compatible mobile devices -- http://iceblackbox.com/the-app/.  This is one app worth having on everyone's phone. So, please spread the word to family and friends about it.  Don't forget to like ICE BlackBox on Facebook and Twitter, to stay up to date on news and more relating to this potentially life saving app.
