Easter Gift Ideas -- New Games for Spring from Wonder Forge, as Well as Some Customer Favorites (Review)

Wonder Forge

Over the holidays I shared a review of Disney Minnie Mouse and Princesses games from Wonder Forge with you.

If you missed my post, click here to read it now - http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2012/11/holiday-gift-ideas-games-for-kids-of.html.  And, since this time, I have continued to pick up Wonder Forge games for the girls as a special treat, for Valentine's Day and most recently for Easter.  Savannah just loves Wonder Forge's selection of picture-matching games.

Right now she has a nice collection of these picture-matching games including Angelina Ballerina, Christmas Disney matching game, Scooby Doo, and Curious George -- all of which I have ordered off of Amazon or picked up at my local Target and Walmart stores.  And, with Easter right around the corner, it was only fitting to include a few of Wonder Forge's new spring games to my Easter Gift Guide.

What child doesn't love Disney characters like Mickey, Donald, Tinkerbell and even Thumber?

--Disney Matching Game --
"Easter’s even sweeter with favorite Disney characters and picture-matching fun!
The classic game of picture matching gets all dressed up for Easter. Mickey, Donald, Tinker Bell, and all your favorite Disney characters show their Easter spirit in colorful matching tiles."

With Wonder Forge's new Disney Easter Matching Game, little ones will have a blast matching up these and other popular Disney characters, who are shown in festive Easter themes.  Out of all the Wonder Forge Matching Games Savannah owns, this is by far her favorite one.  I know this is as a day doesn't go by without her pulling out this matching game and asking me to play it with her, sitting on the living room floor by herself counting or matching up the cards like dominoes.

It is always nice to have a games for the kids that they can play with each, in a group or solo.  And, when we are not following the matching game game play instructions, Savannah has fun making up her own games utilizing the 72 picture tiles.  Just this weekend, we were using the tiles as playing cards and playing FISH with them.  I can't wait to see what other fun games Savannah comes up with, that is when we are not playing match up with these cute Easter themed Disney character tiles together, or Savannah by herself.

Another fun game added to the Wonder Forge line up that will appeal to boys this spring/Easter season is the new NickelodeonTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesClash AlleyStrategy Board Game.

"Beat the bad guys in this action-packed 3D strategy board game!
Run, climb, and leap as you race through the 3D warehouse on important
missions to rescue April, recover objects–and even pick up a pizza! On
the way, your Turtle must battle mutants, Kraang, and Shredder."

My nephews (and husband) are huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans, and had a blast helping me review this board game recently.  Usually it is hard to find a board game that will keep my nephews' attention, but once they saw the Turtles on the cover, they couldn't wait to play.  This game is designed for children ages 6+, and only cost $16.99 at your local Target store -

I love it when a offers educational components to a game, as it helps to show children that board games are not only fun to play with family and friends, but you can learn from them, too.  In the new Nickelodeon™ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ Clash Alley™ Strategy Board Game, Turtle fans will improve their strategic thinking skills, learn about cooperation and teamwork, as well as improve physical dexterity.

Setting up the board game was a cinch, and once my husband and two nephews began playing this strategic game, it was hard to pull them away.  They especially loved the 3D effect of the board game, making their rescue missions ever so much fun.

And, now whenever my nephews come to visit, they always ask to play with the Nickelodeon™ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ Clash Alley™ Strategy Board Game with the two of them, or ask my husband for a rematch.  My husband never turns them down, as he says this new board game from Wonder Forge is fun to play, especially if you are a Turtles fan.  :-)

In addition to these two new Spring additions, Wonder Forge also offers the following games that would make for great Easter basket fillers --

Instead of filling up your child's Easter basket with all candy this year, why not surprise them with a few fun (and educational) games that they can play alone, with friends or siblings, or together with you when you have family game night or one on one time with each child.  I know for my girls that I will continue to seek out Wonder Forge's line of holiday themed matching games, to add to their collection, and can't wait to pick up a few of the Jake and the Neverland Pirates games for a "Yo ho ho" good time. :-)

And, who says the kids can have all the fun when it comes to board games?  Wonder Forge also included a review copy of their popular Konexi game for me to review.

"You'll need creative thinking and steady hands in this edge-of-your-seat word game. Take turns adding letters—up, down, or sideways—to spell words and score points. But watch out, or you may trigger a Konexi collapse!"

And, who says the kids can have all the fun when it comes to board games?  Wonder Forge also included a review copy of their popular Konexi game for me to review.  This game, which is suited for games 10+ years and older, is also a fun adult game night game to play, or even fun for in-house date night.  We haven't had a chance to have friend over yet to play Konexi, as the girls and I have been sick, but my husband and I have found our new favorite games, thanks to the folks at Wonder Forge.  And, when we do finally have friends over for game night, I know that this game will become an instant hit with everyone, as it is such a fun, yet challenging word game.
