My Thoughts:

I am a huge fan of NOW Music, so I you can only imagine how excited I was to receive two of their recent NOW releases -- Now That's What I Call Love Songs and Now 45 to listen too.  The first CD I listened to was the new love songs CD, and have to say that I loved each and every song, which have all been chart topping hits.  Even though this CD is labeled as a love songs available and being promoted as a great Valentine's Day gift idea, note that a handful of the songs are about heartbreak and breakups.  So, depending on how you are spending Valentine's Day this year, you may find yourself reaching for the tissue box rather than slow dancing and kissing your sweetie to these tracks.  For example, Katy Perry's song, "The One That Got Away" and Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break" will have you tearing up, while other more uplifted, high tempo songs like Gaving Degraw's, "Not Over You," and The Fray's, "Heartbeat" will have you loving being in love and being able to snuggle up with your sweetie on Valentine's Day.

Like I said, I loved all 18 tracks, but my favorites included Alex Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts", Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are" and Jason Mraz' "I Won't Give Up."  These songs have been on replay in my favorites iTunes playlist.  So, I was excited to see them on one CD, as I was able to bring the CD in the car and listen to while the girls nap in the back seat, on car rides to visit Nana and Papa.

So, if you love love songs -- both uplifting and sad songs, you will want to pick up a copy of NOW's new Love Songs CD.  If you prefer digital downloads, make sure you take advantage of the 40-track digital deluxe edition, exclusively on iTunes.  I ended up buying this, as the additional tracks were some of my favorites, including Hinder's "Lips of an Angel" and other artists like Daughtry, Hoobastank, Matt Nathanson and Leona Lewis.

My Thoughts:

If love songs are not your thing, then you will definitely love Now 45, which includes 16 of today's hottest hits, along with 4 bonus tracks from up and coming artists.  I love how NOW introduces us to new artists by adding this songs on these CDs.  It not only gives them added exposure, but lets me experience new music from great talent I would have otherwise never listened to.

This CD has fast paced dance songs like Pitbull's "Don't Stop the Party" and slows it down with songs like Ed Sheeran's "The A Team." Out of all the tracks I have to say that my favorite songs include Phillip Phillips' "Home" and  One Republics' "Feel Again."  I have been listening this CD for a few days now and it is really great to exercise to, or listen to while sipping on a glass of wine at the end of the day.   Whatever way to you choose to enjoy this new release from NOW Music, you will not be disappointed.  :-)

Disclosure: I was sent copies of these CDs from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
