This past Friday, I received samples of the above new Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber line to try out with my daughters. Even though they are not technically babies anymore -- Arabella is 15 months and Savannah is 30 months, they are still babies in my eyes. :-) And, with the crazy past couple of months we have had with the flu, a sinus infection and stomach flu, which went through our house, to the recent diagnosis of croup in Arabella last week, bedtime has not been a fun experience for all lately. Even with medicine, steam showers and hot and cold mist humidifiers running constantly in our house, the girls couldn't seem to get comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. And, on the few occasions where they did go bed reasonable early (9:30PM-10PM), I found that they would wake fully congested or with a dry cough -- which was always very scary for them, and Mommy and Daddy.
As I found myself rocking them to sleep, I recalled the early moms of their birth and how we dealt with long nights like these, which were due to colic. How I wished back them that there were products available for babies, to help make bedtime more peaceful and restful. Flash forward two years, and Mommy's Bliss has finally answered mine and so many other moms prayers with their new natural bedtime products -- the Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber line. I became a fan of Mommy's Bliss when I was introduced to their gripe water. This natural colic remedy was the only product that would provide relief to their tummy troubles. Every time we would give it to Savannah, she would relax enough to fall asleep and stay asleep. As for Arabella, even though she usually never fell asleep after taking the Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water, she did have instant relief, which would make the fussing stop and for our happy baby to return. We made a point to have a few bottles of this miracle potion on hand, and would even carry one in my diaper bag, in case we were traveling or visiting Nana and Papa when a colic episode hit.
So, knowing how well this Gripe Water worked with them, I couldn't wait to try out their new natural slumber bedtime line. And, it couldn't have come at a better time, as the girls were sick and needed a way to relax in order to get a good night's sleep to help kick the bugs that plagued us all month long. And, that this new product line did. Friday night, I made a point to let the girls know that bath time and our bedtime routine would be made extra special, as we would be trying out new products that hopefully would put them in a better mood to sleep. I started with the Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Baby Wash. What I loved most about this product was it is a shampoo, body wash and bubble wash in one. So, I didn't have to worry about gathering up a handful of products when preparing for their bath. Usually the girls' sensitive skin can't tolerate bubble bath products, but they didn't have a problem with this baby wash from Mommy's Bliss. I finally saw smiles return to their faces as they splashed around in the tub full of bubbles.
After their bath was over, I followed up with the Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Massage Cream. I think this was the best part of this 3 product review, as it gave my husband and I an excuse to spend more time bonding with the girls as we gave them full body massages, in hopes to relax them before bed. As we rubbed this new massage cream into their skin, we couldn't help but reminisce about when they were babies and we would spend time giving them baby massages, to help ease their colic and put them to bed. It really made us realize how quickly time is going by and how fast they are growing up right in front of our eyes. Moments like these will definitely be cherished, for all long as they let us snuggle and cuddle with them. :-)
And, who doesn't love the soothing smells of lavender and chamomile? Well, the
Mommy’s Bliss Sweet Slumber Mist contains these and other soothing fragrances, that will calm and relax both baby and parent. Before the girls crawled into bed, I told them I was going to spray magic sleeping spray on their pillows and blankets, that would help them fall asleep. You should have seen Savannah's eyes light up in wonderment. Then, I spritzed their pillows and blankies and laid the girls down for bed. Savannah replied, "Smells good," as she continually took whiffs of her pillow and blankie. Then, the magic took over and within a few minutes of me starting their bedtime storybook time, they were both fast asleep. And, that night, they stayed asleep. Come Saturday morning, they both walked into the kitchen looking well rested and ready to start their days -- which was a far cry of days past, with them dragging themselves out of bed to lay around on the couch most of the day. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to try this new bedtime slumber product line from Mommy's Bliss with my girls. And, I will definitely be talking up these natural products with my mommy friends, as well as buying and adding to baby shower gifts I give in the future.
If you are a new or expectant mom, you will want to make sure you have the new Sweet Slumber line of products from Mommy's Bliss on hand, to use with your little ones. They really do make a world of difference when trying to get your little ones to bed -- while being all natural. :-)
