Holiday Gift Ideas -- New Holiday Scents from Yankee Candle (Review and Giveaway)

The one thing about putting up a fake tree is that you don't get to enjoy that fresh pine cone smell when you walk into the room.  But, thanks to the folks at Yankee Candle, you can enjoy your fake tree, while also filling the house with the earthy scents of pinecone, along with lime. Who knew that lime and pine would go well together?  But, they do!  Every year, Yankee Candle comes out with new scents that make for great holiday gift ideas, as well as to pick up and burn in your home for the holidays.  I was the given the opportunity to try out their three new holiday scents: Pine Cone & Lime, Peppermint Bark or Red Velvet, and absolutely loved them. My favorite was the Red Velvet candle, as it made it the house smell super sweet, and everyone who walked through the kitchen where it was burning during this past Thanksgiving, was looking for a red velvet cake cooling?  They couldn't believe that it was just a candle -- and, had wished there was cake, as it made them hungry. :-)

I don't know about you, but there is something relaxing about lighting a candle and letting it burn and fill the house with amazing scents.  My family is fans of Yankee Candle, not only for the quality of their candles, but for the unique scents they offer.

I am fortunate to live near Sturbridge, MA, where Yankee Candle has a store and seconds shop.  So, whenever I find myself running love on candles or tarts, I love taking the drive out to Sturbridge and doing some shopping at Yankee Candle.  I am always impressed with the new fragrances they come up with.  And, as soon as you walk into the door of the store, you can't help but relax, as you take in all the scents.  I could spend an entire day just smelling each and every candle they offer. :-)

So, with holiday shopping in full gear, why not make it easy on yourself by picking up a few candles from Yankee Candle to give to those on your shopping list.  These candles would also make for a great gift swap idea, as everyone loves candles. :-)

Here is more about the three new scents, which are available in large, medium and small size jars, as well as tarts and tea lights, to name a few.

  4. Green grass. The first time I experienced it was in the middle of winter, and I was instantly transported to mid-summer and the intoxicating feeling of the sun on your head, birds chirping and the fragrance of fresh grass. (There are a couple new ones out related to grass I haven't tried yet!)
