As many of you know, I am a total chocoholic. I have planned vacations around chocolate tours and restaurants that specialize in chocolate. So, it is only fitting that I share some wonderful chocolate gift ideas in my holiday gift guide. With that being said, I want to introduce you to the Marich Confectionery Company. Is your mouth watering? Mine was when I saw each of these treats, and still is now as I write this. Now, I have sampled premium chocolates during my many trips, as well as purchased high end chocolates online when I was looking for a chocolate fix. But, many a times I have been disappointed with the quality of the chocolate. Either the chocolate lacked flavor, had too much sugar added to make it taste sweet, or was just not appealing to the eye. As I looked at each of the samples sent from Marich, and read the ingredients in each, I couldn't help but want to dive right in and do a taste test on my own. But, I knew my husband and daughters would love to help me try out each of the delectible treats that were sent for review, and held off until after dinner one night to show them the goodies I got. This is the one part of writing a blog that I like -- trying products with my family and seeing their reactions. I ended up filling candy dishes with a sampling of each chocolate treat from the Marich Holiday Collection line, and put the platter in the center of the dining room table. You should have seen Savannah's reaction. First, her eyes lit up as she exclaimed, "Treat." And, then she started licking her lips and getting them ready for the taste test. Before I could begin passing around the samples, we heard a knock at the door. It was my parents coming to visit. Now, I don't know if they knew I was sampling fine chocolates, or they just had good timing, but they dropped their bags in the hall and joined us at the table. :-)
I passed around each candy bowl, one at a time, and as we each took a Marich chocolate to sample, the reactions were all similar. Everyone always seemed to have a smile on their faces when they were done, and would reach out for another sample. We spent the better part of an hour sampling these holiday chocolate treats from Marich. You would have thought it was Halloween and we were going through our candy bags. :-) I was surprised to see that there were leftovers, as we began getting full near the end of the first round of tastings. The second go round, we each grabbed a few of our favorites, and then we hit our threshold of chocolate for the evening.
Everyone had their own favorites, but we all agreed that the quality and presentation of Marich premium chocolates was top notch. And, the overall taste and texture of the chocolate was that you would expect from a premium chocolate company. I am so glad I had the opportunity to not only sample this selection of chocolates, but also learn about another great premium chocolate company that I can shop online at for gifts for family and friends, as well as find just the right treat to satisfy my own sweet tooth. Marich premium chocolates are simply divine, and would make for a great gift this holiday season. You could choose favorites like -chocolates, caramels, jelly beans, toffee and nuts, or purchase an assortment (like the samples I was sent) and create a gift basket that the chocolate lover in your life will go crazy for.
