Holiday Gift Ideas -- Great Gift Ideas for Peppa Pig Fans (Review)

Is your daughter a fan of Peppa Pig?  Peppa Pig a British animated series that has become popular hear in the US and airs on Nick Jr.?   After stumbling upon this last year, Savannah has become an instant fan.  And, one of her first words besides Mommy, Daddy, Sista and Nana and Papa, was Peppa Pig.  It was so cute to hear her say this the first time.  And, now whenever she see her pig piggy friend on television and in stores, she squeals with joy. :-)  What is go great about this animated series is that the episodes are only approximately 5 minutes in length, making them great for the younger audience to watch and stay engaged from start to finish.  And, the story lines are not complicated and usually entails showing Peppa Pig, her brother George and friends doing everyday activities like swimming, having a playdate riding bikes, etc.  The pigs do everything that humans do, like wear clothes, live in a house, eat food like humans do, along with talking.  I think this is what Savannah's loves most -- seeing a talking pink pig, doing things she does.

So, when it came time to begin holiday shopping for the girls, I knew I had to look for Peppa Pig products to surprise them with.  I didn't have to go far, as I was sent a Sip 'n' Oink Tea Set from Fisher Price, which is ideal for girls 3 years and up and retails for only $15.99, along with a holiday book, "Peppa Big and the Lost Christmas" and DVD, "Muddy Puddles and Other Stories" to share with her.  I was going to try and hide the tea set and surprise the girls on Christmas day, but they caught site of it as I was taking it out of the box.  All I could hear was "Peppa Pig, Peppa Pig," as Savannah did a happy dance around the kitchen.  And, when she thought that is was a tea set, it was all over, and I had to let her and Arabella play with it. :-)  Also, I really wanted to see how they looked when they put the cup to their mouths, as the bottoms of the cup had a piggy snout on  them.  The girls didn't know this and as they lifted the cups to take a sip, I had to gigle and smile.  Then, Savannah flipped the cup over, saw the snout and raced to the mirror to see herself with her very own snout like Peppa Pig.

She, too, giggled, and couldn't stop lifting the cup to her mouth and making an oink oink sound.  Arabella even followed suit.  And, for over an hour, they played together nicely and enjoyed their very own Peppa Pig tea party, as they watched the Muddy Puddles and Other Stories DVD.

When we finally got around to reading the Peppa Pig holiday book, it was also a hit.  Savannah loved pointed  out Peppa Pig, her little brother George and their parents, along with admiring the holiday scenes. Like the hit animated series, this story was easy to understand and will keep young children engaged, as they read about Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List.

So, if you have a Peppa Pig fan in your house like I do, then you will want to check out the Sip 'n' Oink tea set, as well as the books and DVDs that are available from this popular series.  It was great to add this holiday book and DVD to our Peppa Pig collection, and they will continue to be enjoyed for years to come. And, what little girl will not like this cute tea set, with a tea pot shaped like Peppa Pig's house, cups, saucers, spoons and even milk and sugar servers? I especially love the whimsical look and feel of this tea set, and the bonus of seeing the girls look like Peppa Pig when they lift the tea cups to their noses. :-)
