Holiday Gift Ideas -- Cool Cars for Boys from Toy State (Review)

Even though I have two daughters of my own, I have 3 nephews I have to buy for each year, as well as few Secret Santa boys we buy for year after year.  So, I am always on the lookout for fun new toys just for them.  And, this year, I was happy to stumble across a few great cars that boys 3+ would enjoy from Toy State.

Product Details

First up are the Road Rippers Shield Squad vehicles, which are only $4.99 and would make for great stocking stuffer ideas for boys 3+.  The product line includes a fire truck, rescue helicopter, police SUV and a SWAT truck, all emergency vehicles any little boy would go crazy for.    And, the cool part about these toy cars is that each make realistic sounds and light up when you put a button on the top of the car.

My daughter, Savannah, tried out the police SUV that I was sent to review, and couldn't get enough of hearing the siren and seeing the flashing headlights.  I was surprised how she even took the car for a spin around the living room.  See, even girls like playing with cars. :-)  And, when I finally gave it to my youngest nephew, he, too, had a blast pushing it around the living room, and watching it light up, while listening to the siren.  Parents, you will love these cars, as they sound is not overpowering like some other sound enhanced vehicles, which I love.  And, they are chunky enough that even little hands can pick up and carry around.  This is definitely one toy I will be buying more of, as the price is right at only $4.99. :-)  So, if you are looking for a fun stocking stuffer idea for the little man on your shopping list who loves cars, why not surprise them with these light up cars that have realistic sounds to go along with them?

Toystate Dub Garage Custom Ridez: Dodge Charger

Other great cars for boys are the DUB Garage RIM ROCKERZ, where are also priced right at only $4.99, and are suitable for children 6+.  These tricked out rides also have light and sound action, which little ones love.  Available models include the Ford Fiesta, Ford Mustang 5.0, Ford 1-50, Dodge Challenger, Ford Explorer and Ford Edge, in addition to a few new styles that include the Nissan 370z and Dub Edition DD6 Supercar.  I was sent the Ford Explorer to review, and gave it to my 8 year old nephew to try out.

Toystate Dub Garage Rim Rockerz: Ford Explorer

The first thing he said when he saw it was that it was his Daddy's car.  He thought it was so cool, that he could push the family car around on the floor.  And, the bonus of light and sound only added to the fun.  Both of my nephews took turns playing with this car from DUB, as well as the police SUB I was sent to review, and couldn't wait to ask their mom when she picked them up if they could write another letter to Santa, as they wanted to add more of these cars to their wish list.  My sister-in-law told me days later that they can't get enough of these toys and love playing with them on their race track floor mat.  She, too, loved the affordable price of $4.99 for a well made toy car that has light and sounds.  So, if your child likes realistic cars, then they will love these styles from DUB for sure. :-)

Toystate James Bond Light and Sound Q-Branch: Aston Martin Vanquish V12 (Die Another Day)

And, lastly, is your son or even husband into the James Bond movies?  If so, then they will love the new Q-Branch car, which retails for only $34.99 (Note: Amazon has it right now for only $29.99).  This toy car has all the bells and whistles and is tricked out with hidden weapons, motorized driving action, spinning wheels, a backlit rear window with bullet holes and a fun chase sequence that will have your child (or husband) to get on the floor and push this Aston martin Q-Branch around.  And, who doesn't like the James Bond theme song?  Well, this car has that too, and will play once the chase sequence is over and the mission is complete.  In addition to the Q-Branch, other models from the James Bond series include the Aston Martin Vanquish (Die Another Day) and the Ashton Martin DB5 (Goldfinger).  Once my husband saw this car in action, he said it would be a cool display piece on his deck at work, and asked it Santa would get it for him.  Hmm, we'll have to wait and see.

Overall, I am loving the new light and sound vehicles that are available this holiday season for boys of all ages from Toy State.  And, with prices so low, I can pick up a few to make playtime and sharing more fun.  So, if you are looking for fun cars that will keep your boys entertained for hours, and will not drive you crazy with loud obnoxious sounds, then you will love the cars I described above.
