Now Available on DVD -- Lifetime Presents: 12 Days of Christmas (Review)

When you welcome these extra special movies into your home over the holidays, you’ll experience the true joys of the season. These are the precious gifts you can look forward to year after year that will always guarantee your holidays are happy.

My Thoughts:

I don't know about you, but when the holidays roll around and movies begin airing on television, I can't help but get pulled into channels like Lifetime.  I can remember during my college years, I would watch the Lifetime Channel religiously for the afternoon movies.  It was like getting my soap opera fix, but in a movie fashion.  And, similar to this, when Lifetime begins with their popular holiday movies, I tune in or add them to my DVR to watch the girls are sleeping.

So, you can only imagine how excited I was to find out that New Video was releasing "Lifetime Present: 12 Days of Christmas" on DVD for only $39.95.  If you like watching Christmas movies on television, then you will love this new DVD release, which includes the following twelve features:

The Road to Christmas
Recipe for a Perfect Christmas
Home By Christmas
A Christmas Wedding
Holiday Switch
A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride
Under the Mistletoe
Holiday Wishes
Christmas in Paradise
Deck the Halls
His & Her Christmas
Will You Merry Me?

While the children are counting down to Santa's arrival with their chocolate advent calendars, you can watch one of these heartwarming chick flick movies instead. :-)  I received this DVD set to review over the weekend and have already seen 8 out of the 12 movies.  I have to say, after watching each (some of which I have seen before), I had trouble turning the television off, as I wanted to keep watching the movies.  Some were sapping, while others you knew what was going to happen -- but, hey, this is what you come to expect with Lifetime Channel movies.

Out of the eight feature films I have watch so far, I have to say my favorites were Holiday Switch, Holiday Wishes and Recipe for a Perfect Christmas.  Now, I am not going to bore you with describing each and every movie in this holiday collection.  But, I will say that it is one of the best holiday movie collections I have seen.  And, I can't wait for the weekend to come to watch the final four movies.  Then, I am going to pass the set off to my mom to watch, as she loves these types of movies.  When she is done, we can chat about our favorites and maybe even watch a couple as we put up the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving dinner.

So, if you are looking for a great gift to give someone or ask Santa for, why not put Lifetime Presents: 12 Days of Christmas on your list.  At only $39.95, you can't go wrong for 12 movies.  That is only $3.33 per movie, which you can keep forever and watch every year. :-)

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
