My Thoughts:

Savannah has been playing the the new "Ranger Rick Jr. Appventures" app all weekend, and can't get enough of it.  Having been a fan of other kid-friendly apps created by Moonbot Studios, who partnered to create this app, we were eager to try out the app.  Young children and adults will love the wildlife photography and cute animations, which get children excited about wild animals.  Through games, an interactive photo story, music and more, this new app will have children engaged for hours.  I had to pull Savannah from the app for dinner, as she was having fun creating her own story, with the easy to navigate activity sequence.

I can say that Savannah's favorite part of this app is the Animal Piano feature.  She loves tapping on the iPad screen to hear the sounds each of the wild animals make.  Who knew that you could make beautiful music with the sounds of the wild.  :-)  And, her second favorite feature of this new app was the Animal builder activity, where she was able to mix and match body parts of animals to make her own new animals.  Each time she made a new animals, she would let out a chuckle, as she knew what she created was silly.  My husband even got in on the fun and helped create new animals with the builder, alongside Savannah.  What a great way to spend quality time together. :-)

Overall, this new Ranger Rick Jr. Appventures app is one worth checking out.  Young children will not only learn about the animals of the wild, but will have fun with the games and activities that make up this app.
