My Thoughts:

Savannah recently watched Happy Feet for the first time and loved it.  We have since watched it at least once per week. :-)  So, when I showed her a copy of this DVD, she pointed to Scooter the Penguin and said "Happy Feet."  I told her that this was another fun loving penguin, like the Happy Feet movie, and that we would be watching it last night after Daddy gets home from work.  She was cute.  By 5:30PM, she was pacing the living room waiting for my husband to get home, as she couldn't wait to watch this movie.  Once he arrived, she grabbed his hand and let him to couch, where she asked him to sit and then crawled up on this lap with her blankie.  She turned to me and said, "Ready."  My husband had no idea what she was talking about, but when I showed him the movie, he understood.   So, as we waited for Arabella to wake up and dinner to finish cooking, we watched this cute animated movie.

Even though Savannah is too young to understand the underlying messages in this movie, this movie is worth sharing and discussing with your children.  Scooter the penguin doesn't feel like he belong as he doesn't have the speed and talents like the other penguins do.  But, as the movie progresses and Penguin learns more about himself and the talents he has, he finally realizes the importance of self worth and love, and that he is truly unique and loved for that.

The animation alone is worth watching and enjoy. But, paired with a cute storyline -- everyone in your family will enjoy sitting down to watch Scooter the Penguin. Does Scooter save the day and become the town hero?  You'll have to pick up a copy of this DVD and watch with your family to find out. :-)
