My Thoughts:

I vaguely remember watching this movie when it first aired on the Hallmark Channel back in 2007.  But, it was a treat watching it again, while trying to kick this head cold yesterday.  Like I said in my previous post, I am a fan of Hallmark Movies, and this movie is worth seeing for the first time or again.  Yes, the storyline is predictable, but the whole feel of the movie with have smiling, reaching for a tissue and laughing all in one sitting.  You can't help but feel for Bobby after he loses his parents and has to move in with his aunt and uncle, who are not prepared to be parents.  Not only does he get bullied in school, but his hope to create a soap box and enter it into the derby are frowned upon by his uncle.  With the help of an unexpected friend, Jim, Bobby is able to turn the plans his and he worked on, into a soap box worth racing.

This heartwarming films deals with many themes including family, friendship, perseverance, not giving up on your dreams, and hope.  Yes, it may seem like a lot to take in, but Hallmark Channel films are all like this, and leave you feeling happy. Families can sit down and watch this film, and not have to worry about inappropriate content, which I love.  So, if you are looking for a film that will appeal to all ages, and can be used as a discussion point afterwards, You've Got a Friend, is worth picking up and sharing.
