Savannah's Cadbury Ice Cream Bars 'High Tea' Party!! #CadburyHighTea

Blue BunnyCadbury™ Chocolate Almond Ice Cream Bars

Not only is July my daughter, Savannah's birthday, but it is also National Ice Cream Month.  We usually head into Boston each year for their Big Dipper fundraiser, which supports the Jimmy Fund.  So, when planning Savannah's birthday this year, I wanted to make sure I included her two favorite things -- playing dress up and ice cream (Chocolate preferred).  Knowing that my parents were also throwing her a birthday party, I surprised my daughter with a high noon tea party a couple of weeks ago, as a pre-birthday celebration.

Prior to the event, Savannah and a few of her friends stumbled upon the box of goodies I was sent from MommyParties, to help be throw an amazing tea party.  My party kit included a beautiful fine china tea set, complete with sugar bowl and creamer.  What party is not complete without hats?  In addition to the dainty tea set, I was also sent an assortment of Fascinator hats, along with two oversized floppy white hairs, which came adorned with large flower clips.  Shhh, I snuck one of the white hats and have been using outside lounging around the pool, and even gardening.

I shouldn't have let Savannah try on a Fascinator hat, as she didn't want to take it off.  And, with the party being a week away, I wasn't sure if she could wait.  But, she did.  And, on the day of the party, Savannah was greeted at the door by a handful of her friends, dressed in their Sunday best, ready to enjoy tea and finger sandwiches.

What a blast we all had.  Even the moms got into it by dressing up.  Many of us where sweatpants or lounge pants throughout the day, taking care of young ones, so it was nice to dress up for once. :-)  The highlight of the party was definitely the Cadbury ice cream bars from Blue Bunny.  What kid can resist ice cream?  And, what mom will turn away chocolate? :-)  I can't tell you how hard it was to not eat the ice cream, which was also send in advance of the party.  Every time I opened the freezer door, the Cadbury ice cream boxes were staring right at me -- asking me to try them. :-)  But, if Savannah could wait to wear her Fascinator hat, then I could hold off to enjoy the ice cream with the party goers.

Oh, how I loved tea parties as a child.  And, with two girls, I have an excuse to have as many tea parties with them.  Prior to this sponsored tea party, we were using plastic tea sets.  But, now, I can pull out the fine china next time we want to have a tea party.  You really do have to the see the tea set that was set for the party.  It is so cute with the delicate flower pattern.  We really felt like we were royalty as we sipped from our tea cups, and nibbled on biscottis and finger sandwiches.

I can't wait to have another tea party for Savannah and her friends.  What a way to celebrate her birthday, while enjoying the company of friends -- and the tasty chocolate dipped ice cream bars!!!

Want to try the Cadbury Ice Cream Bars by Blue Bunny for yourself?  Then, head to your local grocery store (or use the online store locator) and pick up a box or two.  These delicious ice cream bars come in the following flavors:
