Mother's Day Gift Giving Guide -- Uncommon Stone Designs by Michelle Wilkes -- Hand Stamped Natural Stone Coasters (Review)

If you follow my blog, then you know I love sharing handmade products I have stumbled upon, that would make for great gifts for that hard-to-shop person person.  So, when it came to pulling together unique gift ideas for my Mother's Day Gift Giving Guide, I knew I wanted to include some Etsy finds.  When I was contacted by Michelle Wilkes, owner of Uncommon Stone Designs, and saw sample photos of her hand stamped natural stone coasters and 6 inch trivets, I knew I had to include these in my guide.  These custom stone coasters make for a beautiful home decor or accent piece, as well as would be a great housewarming gift to give.  In addition to a variety of styles, including nature, edible gardens, Irish and Gaelic themes, nautical, etc. and , Michelle also offers monogram coasters. Each coaster is protected with a matte acrylic sealer, preventing any puddling from cold drinks. Beneath each tile, each piece features a thick padded felting that protects furniture.  So, not only are these coasters breathtaking to look at, but they are also durable and will not damage your furniture, or stain with frequent use.

Michelle sent along a set of butterfly coasters for me to use and review.  As soon as I took them out of the box, I fell in love them.  I am not one to collect coasters, but after seeing this design up close, it made me want to get online and order more coasters from Michelle. I love sitting down at the end of a long day, and pouring a glass of wine to unwind.  Now, I have the perfect place to rest my glass -- on my custom made butterfly coasters, thanks to Michelle.
