With the summer fast approaching, I have had to go out and purchase new clothing, as I still in-between sizes after having Arabella in November of last year (and Savannah in July 2010). I had hoped that my pre-pregnancy (first child) clothes would finally fit, but even though I run around like crazy with two young children, I, like many other moms I know am struggling to lose the baby weight.
So, when I went to the stores the other night, I ended up not buying anything, as I was looking for loose fitting, yet flattering casual clothes, but no one seemed to offer this. I left wondering if the designers really know what moms want in a clothing line. For the most part, we don't have the same bodies as we did before children. But, that doesn't mean we still don't want to feel and look stylish. And, for me personally, with two young children, I need to make sure my clothing doesn't have loose embellishments that can be pulled of and choked on, and can wash and wear easier as I usually end the day with spit up or stinky finger stains. Because of this, I don't want to pay top dollar for clothing that may be ruined, or after 1-2 washes begin to fade or shrink.
We will be heading on vacation shortly, and in addition to a swimsuit (ugh), I need at least 4-5 tops and pants to pack. After spending 2 hours at the mall, only to walk out empty handed, I really wasn't in the mood to continue to the summer clothing search.
