Summary:

It’s springtime! To celebrate Easter, Caillou and his family stay with Uncle Felix at his farm. Caillou has some wonderful experiences during his visit: seeing the new baby animals, riding on the tractor, and decorating eggs with his cousins. But the event that Caillou and his cousins are anticipating most is the Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter, like other major holidays, is a time of family celebration and a life-long source of happy memories. It should be a day that stands out as different from others. The Easter Bunny’s arrival and the Easter Egg Hunt are magical traditions that bring children great joy.

The Confetti series has been created to stimulate children’s imaginations and to enhance the experience of life’s celebrations. This feeling of holiday magic is a lasting source of strength in difficult times. Fortified with a sense of enchantment and a store of deeply satisfying customs and rituals, the child grows up with the ability to deal with the realities of life.

My Thoughts:

This is a great book to share with your little ones, who love Caillou.  When I showed Savannah this book, she went crazy.  Every day she watches Caillou after lunch on Sprout TV.  Since receiving this book a few ago, I can't tell you how many times Savannah has asked me to read it.  And, when I am busy tending to her little sister, I find Savannah sitting on the couch flipping through the pages and pointing at things.  She loves also the bright and colorful eggs that Caillou and his cousins decorate for the big Easter egg hunt.  I liked reading about how Caillou and his cousins leave carrots for the Easter Bunny.  What a great idea, and one I plan to do with Savannah this year, and going forward.

If you love sharing holiday themed books with your child, then you will love this quick read, featuring childrens' favorite lovable character, Caillou.  As you read this book to your child, you will both enjoy the colorful and fun illustrations done by Pierre Brignaud.  And, the story is easy to understand, so even young children will understand the story based on the illustrations.  This is one book I will be reading over and over again each Easter, and one that I know Savannah will enjoy for years to come.
