My Thoughts:

I was able to download this app free of charge to try out with Savannah, and have been playing it with her for the past few days.  Is your child a Franklin fan?  I have read a few books to Savannah, so she was familiar with the characters, as soon as she saw them on this app.  This easy to learn racing game is fun for young children (preferably ages 2-6 years old), as you only have to tap the screen up and down (using the on-screen controllers), along with doing a spinning motion to make the buggy carts jump.  After showing once how to play, she was off and running.  This new app kept her entertained, while I tended to her little sister.  The only negative things that I can think of is that this app lacks a lot of animation of the characters.  In the image above, you see Franklin's friends cheering for him and his opponent at the finish line, but they don't move or talk.  And, even though there are 10 unique tracks, they all look similar in nature.  As an older child, this would get boring quickly, and not be as entertaining an app as it is for little ones.  But, it is great for little ones who are learning how to play racing games and just love Franklin.  Savannah is still playing this app, as I am writing up this review, so it has kept her attention, and has become an app she goes back to again and again.

So, if you are looking for a fun and easy to learn racing game for your little ones, why not check out Franklin’s Bumpy Buggy Race-Off, now available for the iPhone and iPad.
