My Thoughts:

This month is all about Dinosaur Train at our house.  Not only did we get to watch this fun and entertaining DVD over the weekend, but my husband and I also put up a Dinosaur Train mural in our daughters' playroom, as part of another review I will be sharing with you shortly.  Ever since Savannah stumbled across Dinosaur Train on her PBS iPad app last year, she has become a huge fan of the Pteranodon family, especially Tiny and Dawn.  So, when I heard about this recent DVD release, I had to get my hands on a copy and watch it with her.  We don't have many Easter films, so I was excited to add this to our holiday selection for this year and going forward.  As soon as Savannah saw me put it out the mailing package, her eyes lit up, and she had a huge grin on her face.  Thankfully it was Friday, as I don't think she would have been able to wait for the weekend, if this DVD came mid-week.

Once Daddy came home, we ordered take-out and snuggled on the couch watching this film, after Arabella went to bed.  Before Savannah could get comfortable, she had to dance along to the catchy Dinosaur Train theme song, and point and smile at each member of the Pteranodon family. We could tell Savannah enjoyed this film, not only because she sat through the entire 1 hr. 40 minutes, but also because she clapped and cheered throughout each of the 8 episodes.  As parents, both my husband and I enjoy watching this show with Savannah, as we know she is learning about dinosaurs, while having fun with the bright and engaging animated characters.  I can see why this show has won awards and is a favorite amongst young children.

If you have a Dinosaur Train fan in your family, why not surprise them this Easter with a copy of this DVD in their Easter basket.  Not only will they enjoy receiving this as a gift, but it makes for a great way to spend quality time together as a family.  So, all aboard!

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
