My Thoughts:

This was another film I missed when it came out at the theaters, and one that I made sure to get once it released to DVD.  As soon as I received this movie in the mail, I made a point to watch it that night, after putting the girls to bed.  It was a great way to unwind after a crazy day with two children with head colds, and also colic and teething issues.  I even got my husband to sit and watch this family film with me.  I loved the star-studded cast, which included Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman.  Be warned this is a tear jerker movie, for those that cry easily at films.  I made sure to have a box of tissues next to me, and by the end of the movie, went through half the box.

This movie was based on a true story, which made it even more enjoyable to watch.  This inspirational movie will bring home to those born with or missing limbs due to accidents.  In addition, families will enjoy watching this movie together and talking about how great it was for a group of people to band together and help give this dolphin a second chance at life.  It is really an amazing movie, and one that I will watch again and again, and share with family and friends.

If you are planning a getaway this year, why not check out the Clearwater Aquarium, where Winter the dolphin got a second chance at life, and this movie was based on.  Click here for more info.
