 My Thoughts:

With a new baby in the house, my top concern when bathing her is that the water temperature is just right.  Due to an autoimmune disorder, I can't tell if water is too hot or cold, so I have to rely on a bath thermometer to tell me the temperature.  Since we welcomed our first daughter almost two years ago, we have gone through a handful of bath thermometers.  Either they didn't work at all, only lasted a few uses, or once they turned white for "hot," they never turned back. There were times that the thermometer said the water was fine, and my husband tested it with his hand, only to find that is was scolding.

So, with our second daughter here, I was on the hunt again for a bath thermometer that would work and last.  This is when I stumbled across the Duckymeter.  At first, I thought it was going to be like all the other bath duck thermometers that we had tried and ended up tossing.  But, after receiving a sample and trying out, I was surprised at how well and accurate the Duckymeter is.  I love how it displays the temperature on an easy-to-read screen, and changes as the water heats up or cools down.  And, with the help of the changing screen colors, I can quickly look down and make sure that it is staying at "green," which is just right.

To check for accuracy of the readings, I used our medical thermometer, which you can also aim at a room or water for a reading, and each and every time it gave the same reading as what was displayed on the LCD screen of the Duckymeter.

It has been about a month since I began using this product, and it hasn't failed me yet.  I haven't had to change the batteries either.  And, while it is in the tub with my daughters, it acts as a bath toy, too.

So, if you have young children at home, or are looking for the perfect baby shower gift to give a family member or friend, why not pick up a Duckymeter today.  It will bring you peace of mind when bathing your child, as it has to me.

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.

  1. Actually, this toy / thermometer can help monitor the heat of the water in the tub, which is essential in bathing your infant. Its truly a great investment.
