"Level Up will have viewers cheering!"- TV Guide.com

Packed with a Never-Before-Seen Episode from the All-New Television Series Before it Debuts on Air, Top-Rated Original Live-Action Movie Premieres on DVD May 1, 2012

This May, get ready to LEVEL UP with Cartoon Network as the top-rated original movie makes its DVD debut, complete with a never-before-seen episode from its upcoming television series!  A Cartoon Network original live-action/CG-animated movie, Level Up is a fantastical comedy for the video game age that turns the game on the player.  Available at retail on May 1, the Level Up DVD will feature a first look at the never-before-seen "Wanted" episode from the highly-anticipated Level Up television series that is set to debut on Cartoon Network on January 24 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT), so fans can own the episode six weeks before its scheduled on-air date by purchasing the DVD!  Level Up will also feature a music video of "The Bomb" by Pigeon John as an additional bonus feature.

In the Level Up movie, at night, Wyatt (Gaelan Connell), Lyle (Jessie T. Usher) and Dante (Connor del Rio) battle together as heroic avatars, in a massively multi-player online video game, Conqueror of All Worlds.  Yet, by day these high school teenagers barely know each other's names, let alone their real identities. That all changes after they mistakenly open a portal from the game world to the real world unleashing the game's evil villain Maldark, a bunch of his trolls and the entire content of the internet, into their once peaceful neighborhood. Now the trio must put aside their differences and join forces with their classmate Angie (Aimee Carrero) to work together IRL (in real life) to win the game and save the world. All without a single cheat code!

When it premiered as a 90-minute movie on Cartoon Network in November 2011, Level Up captured more than 2.5 million viewers ages 2 and up, ranked #1 in its time period among kids 6-11 and was the #1 telecast of the day among kids 9-14 and all boys, according to Nielsen Media Research.  Additionally, the Level Up online game, "Maldark: Conqueror of All Worlds" launched on www.cartoonnetwork.com  concurrently with the movie premiere and quickly became the network's best game launch of the year, averaging 1.6 million monthly uniques and more than 8.9 million game plays to date. Players battle 40+ monsters and earn treasure completing quests across 30 dungeon levels, defeating each boss through entertaining and engaging game-play.

The Level Up movie was created and written by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (both credited for Chasing Liberty) and the movie was directed by Peter Lauer (Sons of Tucson, Chuck). Creators Guiley and Schneiderman are executive producers on the Level Up television series along with Peter Murrieta (Wizards of Waverly Place, Hope and Faith), who serves as the series' show-runner.

Cartoon Network will support the DVD release of Level Up with a television and digital campaign that includes both on-channel and online advertising and leverages the popularity of the online game to generate awareness of the release.
