Holiday Gift Giving Guide -- Gifts for Kids -- The Giving Goose Clothing Line

image

imageimageimage

The Giving Goose is a new line of children’s clothing that promotes children’s artwork while teaching children about the importance of giving back. Created by five year old Bethany Sawyer with her parent’s assistance, the company invites young artists from all over the country to submit their artwork for consideration in being chosen as one of the new The Giving Goose designs. The artists that are chosen will select their charity of choice to join the group of non-profits. Ten percent of the proceeds from the line are donated to the chosen charities. The company’s motto is that “kids can make a difference!” The line currently has six designs that have been scanned, digitally colorized and screen printed onto brightly colored t-shirts and sweatshirts for babies and children. The original designs by Bethany and her friend, Benjamin, include a butterfly, duck, sailboat, frog, skyscraper, sunflower and monster truck. Clothing items are baby onesies, bibs, crewneck sweatshirts, hooded pullover sweatshirts and long and short sleeve t- shirts.

My Thoughts:

imageI was sent a sampling of their clothing line, including a onesie and two t-shirts.  I have to say, I have reviewed many infant and toddler clothing in the past, and these were by far my favorite, due to the graphics and colorful shirts they were printed on.  And, knowing that young children created the artwork for the shirts made it even more special.  I can't wait until Savannah is old enough to submit her own artwork for consideration.  If you are looking for a fun and unique gift to give an infant and toddler, why not consider a onesie, bib or t-shirt from The Giving Goose?  I can't wait to check back in the Spring and see the new artwork chosen, to add to The Giving Goose clothing line.

About Kidtoon Films, Inc.:

Kidtoons is dedicated to helping parents connect with their kids by bringing family friendly animated movies to the big screen every weekend at participating theatres across the country.

Participating Kidtoons theatres showcase a fun, affordable family friendly matinee movie and provide a family experience filled with entertaining, kid-friendly characters, as well as cartoon shorts, music videos and sing-alongs before each movie. We even have fun giveaways for the kids, such as stickers, temporary tattoos, activity books or toys after every film.

As parents, and as producers of kids’ entertainment, we launched the Kidtoons program to enable families to enjoy movies on the big screen on a regular basis. We know that parents are looking for opportunities to connect with their children, and enjoying the movie-going experience as a family provides easy and fun opportunities for togetherness.

As part of making sure that the content is age appropriate, we’ve asked an expert, Dr. Donna Mitroff, to talk with you about our movies each month. Check out Dr. Donna’s reviews for additional information about the plot, the level of action and the types of humor in the movie, as well as some thought-provoking discussion points for the whole family.
