My Thoughts:

If you read my last post about Tradewinds Iced Tea, you know that I love Iced Tea.  So, when I was given the opportunity to review Sweet Leaf Iced Teas, a sister company of Tradewinds (both are under the umbrella of Nestle), how could I say no.  I was sent Raspberry, Peach, Original and Mint and Honey to try out, and boy was I happy with the selection of flavors they chose to send.  Before our daughter arrived last July, my husband and I had spent the past 3 summers in Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC vacation.  One of the treats of heading to the South, was enjoying real "sweet tea."  Everywhere you went, even general stores, you were offered homemade sweet or unsweetened tea.  It was great!  As soon as we arrived in each state, we had our favorite spots to go and pick up a glass of sweet tea.  I especially loved the peach sweet tea in GA, and would often request this at restaurants.  So, when I opened the box from Sweet Leaf Iced Teas, I was excited to see their version of Peach Iced Tea.  I couldn't wait to twist the top and take a sip, but I restrained and chilled each bottle in the fridge.  Some people can drink sweet iced tea warm, like my husband, but I prefer it chilled. So, I patiently waited and at dinner that night, my special treat was Sweet Leaf Peach Iced Tea.  Ahh, it was worth the wait.  As soon as I cracked the lid, I could smell the sweetness of the peaches.  And, after the first sip, I was in heaven.  For a minute, I thought I was vacationing in the South, all while enjoying this chilled, refreshing sweet iced tea.  But, then my daughter began fussing, and I snapped back to reality.  I let my husband take a sip of the iced tea and he said it tasted like it was freshly brewed that day, and reminded him of the peach iced tea we would get in GA.

Never having tried Sweet Leaf Iced Teas before, I was unaware that for the past few years I could have been enjoying similar flavors that my husband and I are familiar with when traveling through the South.  Instead, I would order knock-off sweet tea drinks during the summer, only to be disappointed by the lack of flavor.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed each of the sample bottles of Sweet Leaf Iced Tea that was sent to me, especially the peach tea.  Each tasted like old-fashioned iced tea, with a hint of sweetness.  They were not overly sugary like other iced teas I tried, and left you feeling refreshed and recharged. I will definitely be stocking on Sweet Leaf Iced Teas from now on.
