World of Ink Children's Book Tour: I Love You, Be Careful by Judy Snider and Joan Dickdow

Summary:

From the moment we are born, someone is telling us to be careful. No matter what country we
call home or what language we speak, these words follow us our entire lives. You might hear
parents, friends, family or children lovingly say this phrase at least once a day. Think about all
of the times that a loved one goes off to school, play or work, and you say, “I Love You, Be
Careful!"

I Love You, Be Careful is a heartwarming and uplifting book. There is a page to personalize it
as a gift for adults or children. The book’s beautiful illustrations capture poignant memories and
cause one to reflect on all the “Be Careful” moments in life and smile.

My Review:

5 stars out of 5

I absolutely fell in love with this book the first time I read it.  Having a daughter myself, I teared up reading about all the adventures and milestones I will be watching her go through as she grows up.  Through the words, I love you, be careful, the authors and illustrator do a magnificent job in portraying the life of a daughter, from the moment they are born to the time they are welcoming their own child into the world.  We as parents are caught saying this phrase, and at times whispering under our breathes, I love you, be careful to our children, but it resonates when you read this book and appreciate the beautiful illustrations.  This will definitely be a book I will be sharing with my daughter, Savannah, as she gets older.  Even if she gets tired of hearing me say, I love you, be careful, I hope she will realize that every moment worries about the well being of their children and only wants the best for them.  And, in the end, they will always love their children no matter what.

If you are looking to share a wonderful story with your daughter, this would be a great book to pick up.  I am glad I had the chance to read this book and add it to my daughter's book collection.
