My Friend Paris Book Series, Written by 2 Young Authors -- Review and Giveaway

CLOSED.
And, the winner is:

 Congrats to:  Anja M.

Do you have a budding author/writer at home?  Well, Dave Morris does in his 2 daughters, Liberty and Paris. Together, they  have written 5 best selling books for kids.

Liberty Morris (9 Years Old)

Paris Morris (13 Years Old)

I had the opportunity read 4 books out to the My Friend Paris Series with my daughter, as well as share them with friends, to read with their young children -- and, it was unanimous -- they were wonderful.  We especially loved the story lines and illustrations that went along with them.  The language was written so that young children could understand and enjoy the story.  And, beginner readers loved that they were able to read along and sound out the words.

The series all started when Paris found out she was going to be a big sister to twins.  Her books follow her journey of finding out that she was going to be a big sister, to welcoming home her baby sisters. In addition, Paris decided to add travel books to the mix.  Now, young readers are able to travel along with Paris to places like San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Paris, New York, and France (Note: Lake Tahoe, Paris, New York and France books have yet to be published).

Check out these book covers from the My Friend Paris series, written by Paris Morris --

If you are looking for a family-friendly reading series to add to your child's book collection, why not consider the My Friend Paris series.  You will not be disappointed.  How great is it to share these stories with your children, and letting them know that another child around their age wrote it?  Who knows, you may inspire them to write a book of their own, if they can see that someone else their age has?

For fun, I asked Dave to ask Liberty the following -- If you could give one piece of advice to other children out there who want to write books or are expecting twin siblings, what would it be?  Liberty offered up this advice to young writers: " Try your hardest and do you best and it doesn't have to be perfect because nothing is."  Well spoken, Liberty, and thanks for the advice.  I know many children are looking up to you, and will continue to pursue their dreams of being an young author like yourself.

Look for the following titles in the My Friend Paris Series, hitting bookstores soon:

Paris Goes to San Francisco, Written by Liberty Morris -- Expected Release Date: February 14, 2011 (Valentine's Day).  This book follows Paris as she visits San Francisco in search of the "perfect birthday present" for her sisters. Paris visits Liberty's favorite places and events in San Francisco, including the cable cars, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Chinese New Year parade.

Paris Goes to New York -- Expected Release Date: Fall 2011

I will definitely be purchasing these 2 titles when they come out.  I can't wait to see the illustrations Paris came up with for the Paris Goes to New York series.  She is such a creative artist, and I am amazed that at only 13 years old, she can create such masterpieces, along with her sister Liberty.

I am so happy that their father, Dave, introduced me to their books.  We daughter and I are now hooked and avid followers.

Dave also shared a local article, in which his daughter, Liberty, was interviewed for the first time.

Liberty Putting the Finishing Touches on Her Book

Click here to read it today.  She is just like her sister, Paris - is so articulate in her words, and a force to be reckoned with for years to come in the print world.  They are both truly inspirational, and I wish them much success in the future.
